Feast of ChoirsFriday 13th June 2008 at Anglican Cathedral, Liverpool
The pinnacle event of City Sings Gospel, which has developed and brought together choirs and gospel groups across the region, was an inspirational evening of great gospel chorale singing. Alexandra of Emmaus Roman Catholic and Church of England Primary School told BBC Merseyside listeners the day before of her delight in learning and performing the gospel songs. Her school teacher Ms Hall talked of the thrill before the Feast of Choirs event and about how the gospel music has brought out smiles in the children.
The mass choir mainly comprised of school choirs from Merseyside but included adult choirs such as the Kaleidoscope Community Singers and the Bilinge Heart and Soul Choir.
