History of the Organisation

In the autumn of 1980, a handful of people met to pray.  It was to be the beginning of the congregation now known as Temple of Praise. Starting off as a small house group, it took several years for the vision to unfold.  In 1991, the small congregation moved to Anfield, marking a definite turning point in its development.  In 1995, the Church registered Love & Joy Ministries as an umbrella charitable trust for all the various developments.  Other subsidiaries were subsequently set up, marking key strategic developments in fulfilling the vision both locally and internationally.

In 2004, after taking legal advice, a decision was taken to set up a new umbrella charity to be called Love and Joy Ministries Limited. As of the 1st April 2006, the new charity, a company limited by guarantee took responsibility for the whole group, with the folding up of the Trust set up in 1995.
