LJM Group is the corporate name used for a number of independently registered charities all coming out of the church congregation Temple Of Praise that was planted in Liverpool UK by Drs Tani & Modupe Omideyi.
The Group now includes (i) Love & Joy Ministries Limited which oversees Temple of Praise Church congregations UK; LJM International Alliance of affiliated churches; and a housing project in Liverpool UK (ii) Liverpool Lighthouse Ltd - the U.K.’s first dedicated Urban Gospel Arts Centre committed to working with others to transform communities around Liverpool (iii) Harmonize Academy – an Alternative Education Free School, set to open in September 2012 (iv) Bright Park – the redevelopment of a 5-acre woodland in central Liverpool as an environmental project to engage school children and wider community. The ministry has a trailblazer in the form of its celebrated Love & Joy Gospel Choir that has featured on several UK television and radio networks over the last 15 years and performed at venues around the nation and beyond. LJGC was formed in 1987 under the directorship of Dr Tani Omideyi, this vibrant, multi-racial choir, based at the Temple of Praise, has for many years been at the forefront of building relationships with communities locally and around the United Kingdom.
The choir has ministered at venues the length and breadth of the country, been invited overseas, appeared on television BBC's Songs of Praise, Granada, Sky, and sung on local and national radio as well as BBCs World Service. The range of venues includes cathedrals, churches, castles, football stadia, universities, St Michaels Cave in Gibraltar and the Liverpool Philharmonic Hall.
